Style Modern Mountain Lodge

Mountain retreat for a young family and mountain biking enthusiasts. Pre-manufactured modules built in Sydney and trucked up the mountain to Blackheath.

The house sits high on the block nestled amongst native trees. A hard shell of colorbond steel, Lysaght Long-Line cladding and roofing sheets in Monument Matt creates a striking textural contrast with the organic lines and textures of the surrounding trees.

Split level design to deal with the slope. Three levels dropping about half a meter each step. Top level is a second bedroom, bunk room and bathroom, middle level is the open living space, kitchen and laundry. The step down to the sunken seating area, master bedroom and ensuite bathroom.

The simple internal pallet is dominated by Black Butt timber, the floors and custom joinery.
