The new kitchen becomes the hub of the home as the owners and guests need to pass through it to get to the main living area. Oak engineered timber floors have been used throughout flowing through from the existing home to the addition.
A small (3 riser) stair in the link space deals with the gradual slope of the land. Powdercoated aluminium sun shading blades feature on the Northern and Western elevations to control direct sun entering the home as well as provide a crisp modern aesthetic. The old garage has been replaced by a parking pavilion, open on two sides and connected to the addition with a Spotted Gum hardwood deck. The parking pavilion doubles as a covered living area when entertaining.
